The Japanese Mask

Gaulish Brennus

***
The Celts were no warriors taken lightly. These brutal, cunning, strategic fighters carry a heavy history on their backs today... wear the mask of Gaulish Brennus and become King for a day...
***
You've been born again and again inside of each culture, and inside of each cradling nation your name has barely absorbed any change.

It seems that what is truest to form can rarely be altered.

Frozen water in an icebox is no less barren than the frigid arctic locked into the darkness of night -just as a melted, hammered sword of steel is no less lethal than sharpened blade of stone.

You are born and conditioned through every era to charge masses and transform them into a raving, questioning mass of rebels who will fight and fall with bloody smiles on their face for a King who flies and battles alongside them.

Brennus began as the title of two Gaulish Chieftains in a Gallic tribe, but this title, though varies through the ages, has always meant the name thing: Fearless Leader, Leader of a family of rebels, Pre-eminent, Outstanding and King.

The Irish name Brian is thought to be another variation, originally used as a title like Brennus, more than a personal name.

Mata Hari Hidden Within

Her color was caught in the setting sun and from it she leapt and began to dance like a purple flame. Wear this mask and discover your very own fate...
***
Slipping in-between the outstretched fingers of awestruck patrons you shimmy and shake… moving you body like a trembling feather with impossible lightness and grace.

With unimaginable eroticism. Your colours blaze hooking hungry eyes and rolling around minds wondering if these same colours can be made to dance between the petals of your body.

You say you have been plucked from the orient. You say you lay with a bed of snakes for company. You say rose scented ink drips from the tips of your fingers which you then compose love letters from.

You say a lot of things and not a soul dares question you. Men fear that if they grasp you to tightly you might evaporate into a scent and disappear.

Mata hari (stage name of Margarita Geetruida Zelle) was a dutch exotic dancer, courtesan and accused spy who was executed by firing squad in France under charges of espionage for Germany during World War 1. She was a hypnotic contemporary of dancers Isadora Duncan and Ruth St. Denis who looked to Asia and Egypt for artistic inspiration. She was unparalleled in her time.

Hannibal's Night Pass

You have friends in high places despite being locked in your maximum security cell, but tonight is Your night.

Beyond these prison walls about an hour's ride away, down a cobblestone alley and into a grand hall, a black tie affair overflowing with society's most succulent socialites and intellectuals awaits you. They have gathered in honour of your temporary release to celebrate your diabolical life.

Your wired muzzle has been, for this special night, traded for mask with barred eyes to act as a constant reminder of where you'll be returned after indulging in the delicacy that is human interaction.

Tonight… your mouth must be used for speaking, not adding more notches onto your belt of abominable crimes. Behave and you might just acquire a day pass…
